Welcome to the on-line beer cellar of the beer Dortmund e.V.!
On the 22th of September 2004 the first Dortmunder beer club has become reality. Finally it is possible to enjoy beer in an organized framework. Subject to our statute the purpose of the club is to support the general sociability in the context of beer, the protection of the traditional brewing-methods after the German purity law as well as the avoidance of unlawful alcohol pleasure. Especially, the addition of chemical / artificial additives / essences should be prevented.
The realization of this goal is supported by sociable meetings as well as common undertakings for the appreciation of the beer culture. Special attention should be dedicated to the history and meaning of the German purity law on that occasion.
Moreover, we don’t want to lose track of the big goal “Pilsen 2016”. As is known, the German purity law celebrates its 500th jubilee in 2016 – and we with it. In this year of joy a pilgrim hike from Dortmund to Pilsen is planned that will lead us through virtually all important beer places. Of course, extensive preparations are necessary for such a mission. We, the members of Bier-Dortmund e.V., consider ourselves preparation committee and role model at the same time.
Whoever has the same ideals that we have and is ready to give his energy for the German beer, is heartily invited to join us and to visit us at our monthly meetings.
